Due to the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the International Model Forest Network (IMFN) and the "Life Terra" project, the Western Macedonia Model Forest initiative in collaboration with CERTH (Center for Research and Technology Hellas) and the Asia Minor Association R.U of Kozani, organized an afforestation of 100 trees (oak and cypress) in the area of the Municipality of Kozani. The number of trees was symbolic because of the 100th anniversary of the Asia Minor Catastrophe!
After the end of the afforestation, the participants were informed about the Life Terra project as well as the steps of the Western Macedonia Model Forest initiative and the International Model Forest Network.
