Last week Italy hosted the G7 Summit where on June 15 the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met with the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni.
The two leaders highlighted the strong and growing relationship between Canada and Italy, and officially launched the Italy-Canada Roadmap for Enhanced Cooperation. The Roadmap sets out ambitious, concrete plans to collaborate over the next three to five years in shared priority areas ranging from energy security, climate change, and biodiversity to migration, sustainable economic growth, and research and innovation. In the Roadmap, when talking about Climate Change, Biodiversity, and Pollution, the role of the International Model Forest Network was also cited.
